Since 1948 in Kansas City, Jazz legend Alaadeen has been playing his saxophone with many of the greatest names in music including Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, The Count Basie Orchestra, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Motown stars Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Four Tops, Sam Cooke, and contemporaries T. S. Monk.

Leader and composer, Alaadeen has acquired a bevy of awards including Missouri Artist Award, Missouri Governor’s Humanities Award, The Jazz Heritage Award, Musician Magazines’ Best Unsigned Band.

He has taken his distinctive sound worldwide including performances at the Smithsonian. Alaadeen recently was honored in the U.S. House of Representatives as the man who has revitalized the Kansas City music community.

Alaadeen & group 21 (quartet or quintet) offers performances of jazz standards and originals and a multitude of educational programs designed for all ages. Alaadeen tells great life stories to introduce the familar standards that he plays. Tours supporting his latest release "New Africa Suite" highlight his widely acclaimed originals. Feature Alaadeen as a guest soloist or if a clinic and concert are booked, Alaadeen can invite clinic students to perform a tune on stage with his ensemble.
