Nick Robson literally grew up with Gary Numan (Webb) in Ashford in Middlesex, England. Robson does not represent himself as a professional musician or songwriter, and his occasional output illustrates this rather well. Numan's influence is extremely clear in Robson's songwriting. Numan has produced a great deal of Robson's music, some of which, particularly the 1978-1981 stuff even incorporates recognizable Numan riffs. Curious listeners, particularly early electronic post-punk and new wave devotees as well as die-hard Numan fans may find Robson's work interesting and sometimes rewardingly edgy.
