Elly Kellner (13 August 1976, Antwerp) is a skilled Songstress from the Netherlands. Elly welcomes any emotion in her songs. They are like guests in her pub, all welcomed to take their own place by the warm fire. Wayward as she can be Elly sometimes plays a 6-string guitar with only four strings. With it’s unique tunings this produces the characteristic ‘Elly Kellner Sound’.

Matthews Southern Comfort
Elly is also part of Iain Matthews Southern Comfort. Iain scored a big hit with Joni Mitchell's 'Woodstock'. In the sixties he was a member of Fairport Convention, without a doubt the most important folkrockgroup in music history. Iain Matthews has since produced many records. Matthews Southern Comfort now consists of Iain Matthews - Vocals, guitar. BJ Baartmans - Guitar, mandoline, vocals. Bart de Win - Keys, vocals. Elly Kellner - Vocals, guitar.

Shannon Lyon & Elly Kellner
In the summer of 2011 Elly recorded an album with Canadian Singer-songwriter Shannon Lyon. New songs were recorded, all intimate and heartfelt little treasures that represent the wave that Lyon & Kellner are both balancing on. A flow of acceptance: it is what it is. The album 'Broken Things' was released in May 2012.
