An extremely competent and versatile guitarist using mostly Sale custom guitars and Marshall amps. One can hear easily, influences of Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Devin Townsend and Jeff Beck though it would be fair to say Elmo Karjalainen is fast developing a rounded and accomplished style all his own.

His music is loud but by no means raucous and certainly not limited to shredding - though he does that assuredly with ease. There is plenty to appreciate however whether you like your metal classical, progressive or melodic.
