Arthur Davenport's musical career spans 30 years of songwriting and performance. His style is diverse Americana and ranges from traditional folk through world, alt-county, rock, emo, inspirational and reggae. He first started playing in the Washington D.C. folk scene in the 1980's and then moved on to the southwest scene during the 90's while living in New Mexico.

Arthur has been featured on National Public Radio performing his song, "Lonesome Cowboy," specially written for a cowboy music compilation album entitled "'Round-em Up!" Arthur now lives in Hawai'i where he has been a house musician at the Hilo Palace Theater for the past ten years.

This review for his first album, "Reality Bends", provides a fitting description of his solo performance style: "Using only an acoustic guitar as backup, Arthur Davenport crafts sparse, haunting folk songs with a wry sense of the absurd. Arthur released a second album in May of 2010 - "Whispering to the Wind", a collection of 10 original Americana songs and ballads supported with a full band.
