South African born composer and pianist Jarp explores musical worlds ranging from neo-classical piano and ambient soundscapes to muted cinematic arrangements and beyond.

At home in front of the piano from age four Jarp has an insatiable interest in music and deeply immerses himself in music of all genres. After a twenty year hiatus from any music creativity Jarp started exploring the world of digital music creation in December of 2020 and since then has released an incredible amount of material.

As ‘antinode’ garnered some success on Spotify and other streaming platforms it soon became clear that other monikers were needed to channel his different musical creative efforts. Now releasing as ‘antinode’, Schaff Enskraft, Neveling and with his latest project Datsuzoku he enters a world somewhere between lo-fi and downtempo with rich melodies and sweeping synthesised audio landscapes.

Always peaceful, sometimes sombre, Jarp’s music touches everyone, regardless of the genre. Feelings of peace and contentment, even amid other emotions such as darkness, sorrow, regret and despair, always push through the surface.

The creative journey is just beginning.
