One of the pioneers of Indian Hip-Hop delivering music aimed at the streets with a style infusing RnB and Hip-Hop. Unlike most other artists in the industry, Emiway stands out with his focus on using street linguistics and sparse instrumentation to accompany it leading to an output that is mostly celebrated in and around Mumbai's non-gentrified localities. He has been consistently vocal about artist's rights over their records - owning all of his masters and consistently posturing towards fostering a more independent way of working in the industry. His penultimate record, King Of The Streets, conceptually focuses on analyzing his upbringing in a slum of Mumbai. Further, sees him own the casteist slur often hurled towards him by his peers.
