REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

There is clearly a lot to be pissed off about out there... and Vic Bondi is one pissed-off man. Between the carnage of a pointless war, the devastation of a ravaged economy, and a cultural environment characterized by suspicion, fear and religious bigotry, American politics are a powder keg of tension, anger, and mistrust. Enter a man with a lit match- Vic Bondi. A veteran of the hardcore scene from his days in the seminal Articles of Faith, Bondi's rage burns brighter than ever in Report Suspicious Activity. Originally conceived as a solo album, his collaboration with ex-Jawbox/Burning Airlines member and producer extraordinaire J. Robbins quickly took on a vengeful life of it's own- after drummer Darren Zentek/Kerosene 454 joined Report Suspicious Activity was born!
Defiantly political, (the message of the track "Subtle" is anything but) RSA directly assaults terrorism, homeland security, complacency, and ignorance, among other topics. The band's conviction shows through in their intelligent, if unilaterally venomous calls for reason, responsibility, and empathy in American politics and in our own lives. America needs an extremely loud wake-up call, and that is exactly what Report Suspicious Activity provides.

Soulful hooks and destructive grooves characterize a refreshingly multi-faceted approach that lends a tremendous depth to the album, resonating throughout the fifteen tracks. The album's opening track "Hardball" shows the band's ability to inject just enough melody to keep the proceedings fresh, before unleashing a torrent of battering power-chord punishment. Robbins' inherent sense of dynamics is as equally evident as Bondi's unmistakable aggressive edge.Brand New!
