La Luz (feat. Social Club Misfits) Lyrics

This is a Holy Ghost party song
Like when a prodigal come home
Like somethin' been given that you couldn't earn
Like being in Heaven when you shoulda burned

This is a party song
Like when the prodigal come home
Like when lost things get returned
Like innocence, like freedom

Break the bread, pour the wine
The Father's arms are open wide
Break the bread, pour the wine
Ain't nobody gonna sleep tonight, come on
Cups up, we remember
Hands up, we surrender
Cups up, we remember
Hands up, everybody sing

(La Luz) Brighter than sunshine
(La Luz) We got the Light of the World in us

This is a Holy Ghost party song
Like when a prodigal come home
Like somethin' been given that you couldn't earn
Like being in Heaven when you shoulda burned

This is a party song
Like when the prodigal come home
Like when lost things get returned
Like innocence, like freedom

(La Luz) Brighter than sunshine
(La Luz) I'm burning like wildfire
(La Luz) Breaking through the darkness
(La Luz) We got the Light of the World in us

Uh yeah, yeah
You kept me alive
This a love I can't describe
I'ma dance for my God
Bachata merengue?
Shout to the fam, k lo k mi gente
Don't care what my friends say
I don't wanna go if You don't lead me
You're on the right-side interceding
I got what I needed
God came down to bring freedom
His love for us is undefeated, whoo

Break the bread, pour the wine
The Father's arms are open wide
Break the bread, pour the wine
Ain't nobody gonna sleep tonight, come on
Cups up, we remember
Hands up, we surrender
Cups up, we remember
Hands up now, everybody sing

(La Luz) Brighter than sunshine
(La Luz) I'm burning like wildfire
(La Luz) Breaking through the darkness
(La Luz) We got the Light of the World in us

(La Luz) We got the Light of the World in us
(La Luz) We got the Light of the World in us

Una parrandita pa' la gente, caliente
Halgo diferente
And the boys in the building 'stamos presente
Ahorra manos pa'l cielo, como se sienten
Una parrandita pa' la gente, caliente
Halgo diferente
And the boys in the building 'stamos presente
(Breaking through the darkness)
Ahorra manos pa'l cielo, como se sienten
(Oh, the Light of the World in us)
Una parrandita pa' la gente, caliente
Halgo diferente
(Oh, the Light of the World in us)
And the boys in the building 'stamos presente
Ahorra manos pa'l cielo, como se sienten
Una parrandita pa' la gente, caliente
(Oh, the Light of the World in us)
Halgo diferente
(Oh, the Light of the World in us)
And the boys in the building 'stamos presente
(We got the Light of the World in us)
Ahorra manos pa'l cielo, como se sienten

Que comience la fiesta y celebración
Que me Dios se deliete en esta canción
My Father's arms open wide, receiving me home
(We got the Light of the World in us)
Been gone a long time, was lost on my own
Pero nunca paraste de orar
To' lo malo que yo hice botado en el mar
Remember them long nights, I was pleading to God
Just to see another day and He kept me alive
(We got the Light of the World in us)

Crowder (David Wallace Crowder, born November 29, 1971) is an American Christian folktronica musician. He was the lead singer in the now defunct David Crowder Band and has been using known the stage name Crowder since 2012.

After over a decade of making music with the David Crowder Band, David Crowder is now embarking on a new musical journey as a solo artist, under the name Crowder. “I am thrilled to announce a new album coming out under the name Crowder,” the singer explains. “I’ve never been more excited about a batch of songs!”

His first single, "I Am," off his upcoming album Neon Steeple (February 18, 2014), is a great reminder of how we are always in the presence of God- no matter where our lives have taken us. “The name of God when it’s revealed is a big moment in history." David explains. “That evokes the idea of the presence, of being in his name. For me, that is one of the greatest hopes of the Christian faith. That no matter where you are in life, that you live and breathe in the presence of God. So many times I forget about that, and I need to be realigned to that reality."

The album Neon Steeple, is described by David as “Folktronica-” porch music and computer music combined. "It's been a couple years since the David Crowder Band has made music, but there was more to be written," he says. "I collected some players that could all fit on a porch and have instruments that you wouldn't have to put on a wall, like- banjos, fiddles, that type of thing. The point is to feel like we were on a porch together."

In addition to the "porch music" sound, David said it was important to him to add an electronic element as well. "I love computer music," he says. "Growing up around the video games I loved the sounds. It makes my heart happy."

Crowder will joining artists such as Newsboys, Tenth Avenue North and Thousand Foot Krutch, on the Winter Jam Tour this fall. He will also be headlining a nationwide tour in 2014, with All Sons & Daughters, and Capital Kings. "It's gonna be a 'Folktronica' night," he says of the tour. "I cannot wait for you to hear it!"
