3..Rift is a Black Metal band created by BALAM in 2004. Recorded a demo in 2004, un-released. Released EP 'Eyes of the Basilisk' in 2006 on Goatowarex. New full-length 'To Quench the Thirst of Wolves' under deconstruction. To be released at the end of 2007.

4..Rift were an independent young rock outfit from Brighton UK active from 1995-2003. They self-released a short-run album (The Opal Fruits '98) and recorded several EP's that never saw the light of day (Metway Sessions '99, My False Smile EP '00, Bitter EP '01 & Bedroom EP '03). The band consisted of drummer Peter Hill, bassist Andrew Haines, guitarist Tom Alty and singer/guitarist Adam Kidd. Other notable members include singer/guitarist Nick Howard (proto-Rift pre '96), drummer Ben Kidd (bassist circa '96 and drummer from '02-'03) and keyboard player Aaron Neville ('02-'03).

6. Rift is the main alias of London drum & bass producer Cam Harvie, who also makes garage under the name Cult. He has received support from Noisia, London Elektricity, A.M.C, Hybrid Minds, DJ Die, Keeno and DJ Marky, and released on labels such as Overview, Delta9, YUKU, Insight and Fokuz. Harvie began releasing in 2014 under the name Surface, changed his name to Rift by 2016, and started the alias Cult in 2018. He cites Submotive, Sorrow, Noisia, Burial and Flying Lotus as major influences.

7. Rift is producer Thomas Austin from Boston, founding member of the collective webcage and also known for releasing on artbyFORM. He began making music under the name Rift in 2018, and has since received support from Jai Wolf, MYRNE, Moore Kismet and Gaszia of X&G. Aside from his work with webcage (which he thought up the name for in 2020), he has produced for pop singers starfall and AViT. In 2023 Austin performed at the virtual festival Destination, on a lineup with Laxcity, six impala, Former Hero and camoufly. He has named Madeon, Sam Gellaitry, Daft Punk, Tyler, The Creator, Wavedash, Chrome Sparks, Skrillex, Alexander Panos, G Jones, Tame Impala and Julius Black as influences. Read more on Last.fm.
