Teresa Russell is the rockingest blues rock guitar player in the western hemisphere. Maybe in the world. Super technically proficient. Bested a field of thousands to become the only woman to make the finals of the Guitarmageddon lead guitar contest a few years back. It is unfathomable to me that she is not world famous and moderately wealthy. Great chops, magic touch, powerful voice, superb timing, spectacularly good tone- the total package really. Not the greatest of innovators perhaps, but the best student of potent American blues -based rock guitar I've ever seen.

And when she's not rocking the paint off the walls at some local blues rock bar, she also fronts a rockin' zydeco band.

Seriously cool.
