Trinity is a Dutch worldbeat-band consisting of the three brothers Johan, Elbert en Niek Smelt, and their friend Bert Bos.

The brothers Smelt are largely grown in Peru , and his South American influences , along with some Celtic sounds can be heard in their music. Furthermore, their music is characterized by the use of all sorts of world music like African beats. Their songs are in Spanish , English and on their previous albums also in Dutch and contain a significant portion Christian themes .

Trinity was founded in 2003 and has been on many different stages. Some great performances were on the main stage of the Xnoizz Flevo Festival in 2010 and 2012 , and the EO Youth Day in 2013. In addition , the band played in Germany on the Himmelfarht Festival, the CREA Festival in Switzerland and Belgium on Festicert . The band has performed in Russia , Gambia, Senegal , France, England and Ireland .

In 2014 the album Mundo was awarded the Silver Dove Award

The members compete against eachother to be able to play as many instruments as possible.
