Lies Lyrics

Your soul a pit of stone.
The depths I wish I could have known.
Dangerous, black and full of spite.
Thoughts of you fill my nights.
But now we lay naked on the floor
I'm lost, I'm drowning in your soul
I was searching for some answer in your eyes
I find malicious laughter
And a love that has died.

You are haunting my reality
Your lies are the only truth that I believe
You are haunting my reality
Now everytime I think about you I die

Passion runs through me marrow deep
I long to tear your eyes out in your sleep
This passion, can lead to evil crimes.
Do I kill you or do I choose to die?
Acid burn etched through my brain
Please someone die before I go insane.
I was searching for some answer in your eyes
I find malicious laughter
And a love that has died.

You are haunting my reality
Your lies are the only truth that I believe
You are haunting my reality
Now everytime I think about you I die

Lies (repeat)

Soon now - you'll be gone
I wish to God I could have known.
I love you, I hate you every night.
This longing for your soul has got me scared
But now we lay naked on the floor
I'm lost, I'm drowning in your soul
I was searching for some answer in your eyes
I find malicious laughter, hate
And lies, fucking lies!

You are haunting my reality
Your lies are the only truth that I believe
You are haunting my reality
Now everytime I think about you I die (repeat)

Stabbing Westward was an American industrial rock and alternative rock band composed of Christopher Hall, Walter Flakus, Stuart Zechman, Jim Sellers and David Suycott. They formed in 1985 in Chicago, Illinois and began recording in the 1990s. Their major label debut was Ungod. Sales were sluggish but Stabbing Westward built a solid fanbase by relentless touring. In 1996, their Wither, Blister, Burn & Peel became a moderate success aided by the singles Shame and What Do I Have To Do.

The follow-up was Darkest Days. Despite several strong singles including Save Yourself, It failed to sell as well as its predecessor, although it attracted attention in Canada and Australia, and the band was dropped from Columbia Records. They signed to Koch Records, issuing Stabbing Westward, which was a considerably more commercial effort than previous albums, but failed to make any impact on the mainstream charts. Before a fifth LP could be recorded, Stabbing Westward broke up in late 2002.

Since then, lead singer Hall has formed The Dreaming.
