Livin' the Dream Lyrics

Funny how things change
Yet they always stay the same
And the simple things in life
Just get tossed into the flame

But I been down that road before
When you just gotta roll the bones
I ain't got much money in my pocket
But I didn't leave none at home

Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
And I'll keep livin' my life, livin' the dream on my own

A million roads to go
And a million roads behind me
I've heard so many stories told
But the good ones never find me

I ain't got no crystal ball
That's showin' me the way
And I don't know which way I'm goin'
But I'll get there someday, singin'

Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
And I'll keep livin' my life, livin' the dream on my own

And after all that I've been through
There's nothin' left to prove
I'm startin' to believe
We can all live the dream
One day at a time
Yes, I'm startin' to believe
We can all live the dream

Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
And I've made up my mind, I ain't wastin' no more time

Here I go again on my own
I'm goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
And I've made up my mind, I ain't wastin' no more time

Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone
But I'll keep livin' my life, livin' the dream on my own

Uncle Kracker (born Matthew Shafer 9 November 1974 in Mount Clemens, Michigan) is an American rock and roll and country music musician.

He started out his career at a young age as a fledgling rapper. He met Kid Rock in 1987, and Rock asked Kracker to become his DJ. Kracker did not know how to work the turntables, but he soon learned how to, and he became a long-term friend and colleague of Rock.

Kracker worked with Kid Rock until he became a solo artist in 2000.

The My Hometown Songfacts reports that Kracker recorded Postcards From Home over seven weeks in early 2011. The album title was inspired by his hectic life on the road after his successful Happy Hour longplayer. Read more on Last.fm.
