Yung Koded (born Erick Oseko Mobegi on August 30th, 1997) is a rapper, singer/songwriter, recording artist and entrepreneur. His musical career has been marked by its diversity in style and incorporation of genre/sub-genres such as indie rock, synth-pop, afrobeat, and hip-hop.

Born in Kenya in 1997, Erick Mobegi, grew up listening to African artists like Diamond Platinumz, Davido, Mr. Eazi, P-Square, and Mr. Flavor. His style mirrors the new wave and emo-rap era which consists of emotional or smooth melodies/vocals and distorted drums/808s.

His style is also built upon his diverse musical taste; mostly ranging from Punk Rock, Afrobeat, and Hip-Hop, as well as Reggae and Reggaeton. His first release was “Alisema Love” (feat. Maddix, now Maddoh) which debuted in 2015. The song did ‘okay’ being given a short time-frame to work with. He took a break off music throughout 2016-2017, before resuming back towards the end of 2017 with new releases like “Drop A Xan”.

2017 marked the official launch of his label, Chinatown Music Group (CMG). He went on to release a number of tracks like “Turnt UP” and many others over the following years.
