“If PJ Harvey and Kate Bush defied science and procreated, Daisy would be their love child” or so think London In Stereo. Actually the child of a former cyclist and hairdresser, Daisy Victoria has been described by Lauren Laverne as ‘a rising star’, and released her second EP ‘Nobody Dies’ Nov 30th 2014.

Having received multiple plays from Radio 1‘s Huw Stephens (following Daisy’s Latitude 2014 Lake Stage slot) Daisy has also received plays from BBC6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs, XFMs John Kennedy, whilst Lauren Laverne has twice made Daisy her 'MPfree' of the day.

Since releasing her debut EP ‘Heart Full of Beef’ in March 2014, Daisy has won fans across the blogosphere: CLASH have described Daisy’s vocals as ‘stunning’ and her songwriting ‘beautiful’, whilst i-D invited their followers to ‘step inside the world of Daisy Victoria - an intriguing newcomer where raw emotion meets enchanting vocal talent’. Support has also come from The 405 who have described her video as ‘wonderful’ and Pigeons and Planes who have included her in a ‘15 songs you have to download now’ feature.

Winter 2014 sees Daisy embark upon a string of dates in support of her forthcoming EP release.

A creature of habit who enjoys walking in all weathers (except bright sunshine which makes her sneeze) Daisy watches too many films and doesn’t read enough. Musically, she finds inspiration in church bells, the noise of power lines in the rain, and the sounds nature makes. She co-writes with her brother Sam, who also produces her music.

Daisy Victoria has been a solo artist since January 2014. Her debut singles have been championed by BBC Introducing’s Graeme Mac, Richard Haugh, Sophie Little and Gary Standley.

Her previous musical ventures have seen Daisy play Latitude 2013, Harvest at Jimmy’s and The John Peel Centre.

Sheila Ravenscroft (Director of The John Peel Centre) has called ‘Heart Full of Beef’ a ‘standout track’ whilst Hype-Machine affiliated blog ‘Alphabet Bands’ has described her music as a ‘refreshing breath of cacophonous air’ which ‘liberates the senses from the drudgery of everyday life.’

Her debut E.P, ‘Heart Full of Beef’ was released in March 2014. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
