Dark Waters is an American progressive rock band from Oregon, formed in 2008 by guitarist, Michael McDonald. Dark Waters released their debut album The Awakening in 2010.

Michael McDonald is an American guitarist, songwriter, and producer. His influences include Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour and John Sykes. He got his start in the music business as a guitarist in several Arizona based heavy metal bands during the 1980’s.
