Cyborg9k was an alternative rock project for furries, queers, and communists, originating from Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The artist was born in 1998, who began making music under the alias of "DJ Lil Stewart," and began making original music under the alias of Roxie Cola, then, later, Roxie OS. They then briefly went under Lazarus Impulse before finally creating Cyborg9k. Their lyrics were misinterpreted, leading them to be brought closer to the Epunk scene, which they eventually started distancing themself from.

Their first release as Cyborg9k was Clown World/Skipping Frames (BETAS); released January 18, 2021. Skipping Frames was originally a Roxie Cola song. The debut Cyborg9k EP was Blank Cartridge, released June 22, 2021. The debut Cyborg9k album was I feel ok (so I guess that means I'm fine), released July 15, 2021. The second Cyborg9k album was Cyborg9k, released May 15, 2022.

In 2022, Cyborg9k began dating Epunk artist GEZEBELLE GABURGABLY (Gisele Gurney), who was also trying to distance herself from the Epunk scene.

In 2023, Cyborg9k began publicly dissenting from the Epunk scene and announced their new project, Huachuca Aerostat, as a way of distancing themself from the community. They released one album under Huachuca Aerostat but decided to instead come back to the Cyborg9k name while still publicly dissenting from the community. In September 2023, Cyborg9k and Gisele broke up.

The third Cyborg9k album was Days Become Years, released August 29, 2024. This album contains multiple songs in opposition to the Epunk scene; Don't Let It Go stands out as it directly talks about the scene. On October 21, 2024, the collaboration EP with Full Blown Meltdown and The Acid Flashback at Nightmare Beach, For Once in My Life, was released.

The fourth Cyborg9k album, What Did You Expect?, released March 1, 2024, once again opposes the Epunk community, although less directly than Days Become Years. Accessory is about Gisele and Cyborg9k’s relationship.

On June 1, they began deleting various tracks, EPs, and albums that were heavily linked to the Epunk community. On June 11, 2025, Cyborg9k released The End of Possibility. They also announced that the Cyborg9k project would be put on an indefinite hiatus.

Since then, Cyborg9k has taken down some of their music associated with the Epunk scene; among these were the albums I feel ok (so I guess that means I'm fine) and Cyborg9k. The former had a remastered version made, which was briefly uploaded before being taken down, while the latter has a remastered version released under the title Sparkle9k, with a select few songs missing and Recursive Functions added.
