Zydeco Joe Mouton 1943-2007 - was known for his imrovised lyric poetry in the Creole-French Language. His most famous Song und and Title of the CD „Jack Rabbit“ speaks of the alive feelings of the Country people of Louisiana and in Jack Rabbit of a very young boy, who could run very very fast..... Therefore he became the Nickname" Jack the Rabbit".

All Songs of the Album are written by himself - with the Exception of Clifton Cheniers classic Song „Mon Kishon Pu Twa - I am a hog for you“.

Zydeco Joe was born in Lafayette, at 25th of October in 1943 as Joseph Adam Mouton and had been raised at a farm in Carencro. At the Age of Thirteen he learned to play a Sears Silverstone Guitare.

Later he played a while with Rockin’Dopsie’s Band. In the early Sixties he left the Musicscene and turned his Back for twenty years.

In his song "Jack Rabbit" he told us that he learned to play Accordion, when the Mother of his good Friend Robley told him to do so.Robley died in an car accident and Zydeco Joe was not able to accept the gift because the Loos of his friend was unbearable to him. In the End he accepted the mothers Wish and a good Friend of old Times Dudley Broussard taught him to play on the Accordion.

In 1988 he founded his own Band.

In his own Tellings at Radiointerviews and on stage he told his listeners that he loved the Zydeco for bringing very different people of all races together and give them a good Time. He himself had to experience Seperation of Race and therefor Hate.

„II play my music with all my heart. You can tell it Backporchmusic- it is this high-energetic Zydeco-Music, which connected people for having a good Time."

In schooltime he was punished for speaking French - he learned it from his grandma, who did not speak English. He was proud of speaking French ,which allowed him to communicate with people from many countries of the world.

Zydeco Joe took his music sessions on big Events and Festivals in Lousiana and was known for staying enthusiastically until the Feast was really done.

He died unexpectedly of a heavy pneumonia on the 17th of November 2007.
