One of West Africa's earlier bands whose success and focus was primarily an imitation of Afro-Cuban beats which dominated the dance scene until the mid-eighties in Senegal.
Ibra Kasse, Ibou Kasse, Laba Sossey, and Pape Seck of Africando who also sings lead in "Caramelo" were among the icons of the time and Star Band de Dakar.
