This is jazz rock fusion with a smooth funk base. Better than ever, PHAT ROB is laying down the tracks. PHAT ROB aka Robert Butler on the former Mp3.com, has been jamming coast to coast. From N.Y.C. to S.F. bay area. Robert studied music in many styles as a child in New York, then continued his studies at Nassau Communiy College and Old Westbury College in Long Island. In 1980 he moved to the S.F. Bay Area and played keyboards with many local bands. He was also interested in computers and music and built a Musical Instrument Digital Interface lab (MIDI) studio back in the day when MIDI first started, with a Commadore 64 and a Sequential Circuits interface. Well times have changed and now we use Pro Tools and Logic Pro software with the top of the line Mac's and Windows computers and VS890 recorders, along with the best local musicians in the Bay area.
