edbl is the alias of Singer-Songwriter and Guitarist Ed Black. From Chester originally, edbl graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2013 and moved to London, where Brixton is now home.

Having developed a love for R&B, Hip-Hop and Soul whilst studying Music alongside Ady Suleiman whom he still regularly works with, edbl began making beats whenever he would be on the road as a Session Musician. Over the last year, using those beats as a foundation, he has collaborated with a multitude of artists whom he has met through his work.

2019 saw the release of four debut singles from edbl, each with their own incredible featured artist (Isaac Waddington, Kofi Stone, Tilly Valentine, Jay Alexzander). This was quickly followed by a 19-track instrumental beat tape edbl beats, vol.1 which featured beats, loops and ideas collated from the previous three years. 2020 saw the release of edbl's Boys & Girls Mixtape a project which featured collaborations from the hottest breaking artists in the UK's thriving Soul, R&B & Jazz scenes including Zach Said, Carrie Baxter, Carmody and more.
