Belgian rock act from Ghent formed in 1996 and signed to Kinky Star records. The Dr.Pepper Family core members are Sebastian(guitar) and Jochen(drums) who were 16 years old when they recorded their first demo. Joined by Rudi(singer) and Jurgen(bass) they began as a speedblues project imitating all time (anti-) heroes MC5, Stooges and Velvet Underground.

Rudi quit the family in 1999 at the time the dr.pepper family decided to 'go for it'. Concerts in Berlin, France and a short Swiss Tour followed. The Kinky Star Label noticed the progress that was made and gave the green light for a first full length-CD.

Metal Molly-whizkid Allen Muller helped out to get the compositions and harmonies right and at the end of 2001 the dr.pepper family started definite recordings with producer 4T4. The result of it is to be found on the full-album 'Taco and Red Beans'.
