THE SILVER LAKE CHORUS performs choral arrangements of indie music and exudes both the edgy, independent spirit of Silver Lake and the heart of community choral singing.

TSLC’s debut album, “The Silver Lake Chorus,” produced by Aussie crooner Ben Lee, features rare and new tracks written exclusively for the Chorus by amazing indie artists like Sia, Aimee Mann, The Bird and the Bee, Tegan and Sara, Ben Lee, The New Pornographers, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), John Roderick (The Long Winters), The Flaming Lips, and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver).

In 2016, Six Degrees Records collaborated with TSLC to put the beautiful tracks from their first album into the hands of a diverse and talented cast of remixers. The end result, “REMIXES,” offers a fresh look at The Silver Lake Chorus’s debut, written by some of alternative music’s finest composers and now re-imagined to explore new and exciting sonic terrain. “Heavy Star Movin’,” written by The Flaming Lips and remixed by starRo earned a Grammy nomination in 2016 for Best Remixed Recording.

TSLC is steadily working on their sophomore effort, featuring a new crop of original songs written for the Chorus by renowned independent artists.
