Hailing from Orange County, California, Filipino-American artist, 8rae, weaves elements of hip-hop, R&B and alt-pop to create a distinct sound with unique authenticity. In October 2022, 8rae featured on 88Rising imprint PARADISE RISING’s compilation album, semilucent 3, spotlighting emerging Filipino talent, and celebrating Filipino American History Month. Later in the month, 8rae returned with his sophomore EP, WHO TF IS 8RAE? via Genius Distro, which garnered support from platforms/curators such as: Early Rising, Ones To Watch, MidniteCult, Show & Tell, That Good Sh*t, saving connie, Shrek Knows Rap and GallixC.
