Reset String is an alternative/grunge band from Kuwait founded in 2010 by Khalid Waleed and Fahad Al-Khalidi
Grunge enthusiast guitarist Khalid Waleed, former member of the disbanded local Band Bikes N Daps, and vocalist Fahad Al-Khalidi met at a Dap's performance in Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST).
The two individuals contemplated the idea of starting a grunge band that would bring back the sound of the 1990s to its rightful place.
The Nirvana/ Alice and Chains Fanatics strung the right chords together and started jamming with each other and realized that this could work.
Later on they asked Abdulaziz Baqer of local bands Bikes N' Daps and Freefall to be the man behind the kit while bassist Mohammed Al-Shareef took on the bass duty. However, busy times led to complications.
Going Nuts and Ghosts (singles) and the ACK show:
Conflicting time schedules prevented members from getting together for a period of time. Mid 2011, Fahad and Khalid laid down the tracks for their two songs Going Nuts and Ghosts, two grunge songs, recorded at No Label Label's Studio of Doom.
At that time Reset String contacted Wahab Al-Kandery and asked him to join as the band's drummer.
Months later, Freefall asked Reset String to open up for them at their upcoming show in the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK).
The audience received the new band with joy, kick-starting their career. The band at the show consisted of Khalid, Fahad, Wahab, and bassist Husain Al-Harbi.
