There are at least two acts named Shyster.

1. Shyster was one of the monikers used by British mod/psych outfit, Les Fleur de Lys, who released singles under various aliases, including Rupert's People and Chocolate Frog. As Shyster they released a single in 1967: 'That's a Hoe Down' b/w 'Tick Tock'. The band members later revealed that the two songs were hardly serious: they were tongue-in-cheek sketches, released by the record label against their will. Personnel: Gordon Haskell (bass, vocals), Bryn Haworth (guitar), Keith Guster (drums).

2. Shyster was an American rock band, established in May 1993 in Orlando, FL, United States, under the influence of heavy metal and California punk. The fiery and typically always-changing-members quartet established itself through a series of demos, albums ("Say Uncle" in 1996, "February" in 1998) and compilations. The band took the trophy in the punk category for two Orlando Music Awards. Shyster is now inactive, but singer-guitarist (and main songwriter) Mike Levin continues to make music, now in New York with his new band, The New Lows. Read more on Last.fm.
