Não ao Futebol Moderno (NAFM) is a Brazilian band formed between 2013 and 2014, blending styles such as shoegaze, dreampop, and emo. One of their main influences is the band American Football, a connection evident in their debut EP, *Onde Anda Chico Flores?*, released in 2014.

The band gained more visibility with the rise of the so-called "rock triste" — a fusion of these mentioned genres — and with the release of their first album, *Vida Que Segue*, in 2016. The record is considered a milestone in this new movement within Brazilian rock, offering a more sentimental approach that combines elements of American soundscapes with a Brazilian identity.

Felipe Vicente
Kílary Burtet
Pedro Appel
Marco Bueno

After the release of *Vida Que Segue*, the band toured the southern and southeastern regions of Brazil. However, in 2017, the group faced allegations published by the Facebook page *Apoie a Cena*, which accused the members of toxic and sexist behavior. Among the accusations was the claim that the band members kept a "list" to compete over who could hook up with the most women. When questioned about the source of these claims, the page revealed that it came from a former friend of the band.

In response, NAFM's members issued a statement to the news outlet *Catraca Livre* on August 23, 2017, asserting that the allegations were not based on women's testimonies and were merely "petty personal disputes" stemming from conflicts with the accuser.

Following the controversy, the band withdrew from performing for several years. During this time, drummer Felipe Vicente departed from the band for a unknown reason. However, in 2023, they hinted at a potential comeback in a Facebook post celebrating the signing of soccer player Luís Suárez by Grêmio FBPA. In the post, they wrote: *"We're reconsidering releasing new music after Suárez's signing… could it happen this year?"*

In 2025, 9 years after their last release, NAFM recorded and released their second album *Pequenos Prazeres* blending new genres in their music. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
