A Virtuoso Trombonist, composer, arranger and more recently singer.
Born 22 November 1986 Baixada Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. JK is from a large musical family, his brother taught him to play and read music. 

His eclectic musical style is influenced by brazilian music and the jazz. Konrad released his first solo albums in 2017 called TIMELINE and +AMOR available on digital platforms but will also make vinyl later this year. Josiel plays with his quartet in all the best jazz clubs and famous venues in Rio, like Circo Voador in Lapa. He has also played at world famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London.

TIMELINE: The Time Line album is a collection of own and old compositions spanning than 10 years. Compositions that record his musical journey, his musical growth and influences coming from the world of jazz, main objective is the swing jazz trombone playing the lead, thus opening doors to glimpse infinite possibilities in improvisations and melodies in the midst of the vitality of syncopated rhythms.

+AMOR: The album has a unique sound and was inspired by Josiel Konrad’s authorial compositions bringing together 7 types of love, Love Eros, Love Mania, Love Philia, Love Ludus, Love Agape, Love Pragma, and Love Philautia. Living life to the full and experiencing  "types and expressions of love," with a natural fluency, beautiful melodies emerged and took shape in unexpected moments experienced in real events and illustrated by creativity. The album brings a jazzy range or sounds, full of "Brasilidade" and swing and in places uses acoustic instruments to form the unique identity of the album. Josiel sings and plays trombone on the Album +AMOR and has a guest star, the famous Brazilian Singer Nina Miranda singing on the Dança do Amor track. 

The cover art for his album TIMELINE and +AMOR was designed by the famous Scottish sculptor Bruce McLean and graphic designer George Boyce.

He also has a dueted with experimental Brazilian pianist Tomas Improta on numerous occasions and also played a role in the film about Pixinguinhna.
