Part of My Past Lyrics

Make this ride as fast as I can
Tonight this road home feels a little longer
I hope you know that you were my best friend
Tonight I said goodbye, but I should have said more
Thanks for the best time of my life.
Come home, now that you're gone I've finally realized
That you were the best
Come home, I won't forget the times that we had
I'm wishing that you weren't a part of my past
Emptiness swallows this town
From now on I will be alone for good
Will you remember my name?
I'm hoping that I will hear from you soon
Thank you for everything
Come home, now that you're gone I've finally realized
That you were the best
Come home, I won't forget the times that we had
So please don't be a part of my past

Daphne Loves Derby is a band comprised of drummer Stu Clay, bassist David Sparks, and vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Kenny Choi. Daphne Loves Derby hails from Kent, Washington. Their original bassist, Jason Call, left the band in late 2006 to pursue an education at BYU Idaho and serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Former lead guitarist Spencer Abbott left the band in 2008 after playing with the band for three years. The band has released the EP "Closing Down The Pattern Department" (in 2004), the album "On The Strength Of All Convinced" (in 2005), and the album "Good Night, Witness Light" (in 2007) (Jason Call played bass on this album) with label Outlook Music, in addition to many other self released titles previous to those.
Since 2007, frontman Kenny Choi has also released music under his solo project Wolftron. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
