Monexus derives from the name of the first rap group ‘Nexus’ the producer joined in junior high school. The group would have ciphers every recess like it was part of the timetable. After the group broke up and he began to focus more on his music production, he decided to pay homage to his boom bap roots by incorporating the name ‘Nexus’ into his production alias. He was born in Botswana.

He is currently working on his debut full length instrumental album which he plans to release during the 3rd quarter 2015. He has also extensively been working with several other producers on tracks and 3 collaborative EP’s are on the horizon for 2015 as well. A marketing campaign envisaging extensive outsourced social media marketing, as well as an SMS campaign has been scheduled to kick in from the onset of the releases. His music production company, Jamenex Music, to which he is the sole director, has come into a joint venture with 3 other entities, Fresh2Def Productions, Spoilt Brat Music and Hop Media and have established a world class studio in the heart of Randburg, Johannesburg, South Africa.
