Piece of the Dream Lyrics

Jump back, gotta check it out
So tell what it's all about
I jumped up when I turned around
To find out it's all headed south

And I never thought it could
Could it ever feel so good
To be so misunderstood
While you're going under

I've got a piece of the dream
Enough to keep me company
All the while I'm going down, down, down

And I've got my arms around a memory
Leaves me all alone with me
All alone and going down
Down, down, down

Don't call me victimized
Brainwashed or hypnotized
I don't need your alibis, for your lies
They're all going 'round

And it all comes back to you
And there's nothing you can do
One thing to see me through
While I'm going under

I've got a piece of the dream
Enough to keep me company
All the while I'm going down, down, down

And I've got my arms around a memory
Leaves me all alone with me
All alone and going down
Down, down, down
Down, down, down

You say you need someone
Well, I'm too far gone
I'm not the only one
Now you're going under

I've got a piece of the dream
Enough to keep me company
All the while I'm going down, down, down

And I've got my arms around a memory
Leaves me all alone with me
All alone and going down

And I've got a piece of the dream
Enough to keep me company
All the while I'm going down, down, down

And I've got my arms around a memory
Leaves me all alone with me
All alone and going down
Down, down, down
Down, down, down

Squad Five-O, a rock and roll outfit from Savannah, Georgia and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, consisted of vocalist Jeff Fortson, bassist John Fortson, guitarists Adam Garbinski and Kris Klein, and drummer Dave Petersen.

They released their first two albums, 'What I Believe' and 'Fight The System' on independent labels, and signed to Tooth & Nail Records, they released their third album 'Bombs Over Broadway' in summer 2000. The earliest version of the band played ska-punk and has since moved to punk and finally to a rock and roll sound.

In spring 2002, Squad Five-O released their self-titled album, followed by a deal with Capitol Records in 2003. Their last album 'Late News Breaking' was released in summer 2004.

In the summer of 2005, Squad Five-O decided to call it quits.

"This is not the end. It's but the beginning of the reformation." -Jeff Fortson
