Carrie Armitage attracts favorable critical analysis at every turn in her career. She has worked professionally as a pianist, keyboardist, arranger, composer, producer, vocalist & sound designer on numerous projects out of Montreal, Toronto and Los Angeles.

"Armitage smoothly transverses
musical genres.
Her work combines elements of
Ambient, Progressive Rock,
Jazz, Classical and Pop."
Music Connection Magazine
Los Angeles

Born to musical parents, her father a jazz pianist, her mother a singer/dancer, Armitage was immersed in both the business and the creative side of the arts from a very young age. She studied both classical and improvisation, moving into composition during her early days as a professional musician.

Her debut CD, In Search of Simplicity, was well received by university and community radio - play listed at stations internationally. The buzz In Search of Simplicity experienced was largely due to enthusiastic radio programmers. Several women's oriented programs have featured the CD in Europe, the U.S. and Canada.

Armitage's current project The Spirit of The Times will be released as a full length CD late 2009.

"I've recently been presented
with your wonderful album,
In Search of Simplicity,
by our program manager
and it has really
impressed me very, very much.
I've always paid a lot of my attention
to voices
sounding so particularly heavenly
and I'm extremely glad
to have discovered
another musical paradise
in your world of
vocal interpretations."
