Motion are a band from Edinburgh formed in 2016. The band’s style is broadly described as indie rock, but they incorporate elements of many genres in their sound; including dream pop, dub, psychedelic rock and post punk. Motion are often associated with the shoegaze scene in the UK.

The band quickly rose to prominence with the release of the self produced Motion EP in August 2017, which was met with high praise from fans and critics alike. The leads track Myths received airplay in the UK, mainland Europe and America. This was followed by several packed live headline shows in Scotland’s capital. The band are currently working on two single releases set for early next year.
