Hailing from the state of North Carolina, Michael Alvarado's love of Pop and R&B music found an outlet during his time at Appalachian State University. Mike's band, consisting of Kyle Wilkerson (Drums), Joe Brown (Bass), Dayton Cole (Guitar), Katie Henry (Vocals), Samantha Crowder (Vocals), and himself (Keys, Vocals) plays shows around the high country and North Carolina, making frequent stops in Boone, NC where the band began.

Michael Alvarado and Co. released their first EP named "Waste the Day" in August of 2008, featuring the songs "Waste The Day", "Not The Usual Type", "Weak at the Knees", and "I'd Do Anything For You".
