In 2014 he released his first solo album, Patchwork Cacophony. A mix instrumentals for the first half with a nine-part concept suite of songs as the second, it stays squarely in progressive rock territory. Taking an unusually strict definition of "solo album," rather he involving session musicians he played all the instruments himself.

His style of music varies by project, but there are usually elements of progressive, classic and blues rock to his playing.
