Manolo Rodríguez is perhaps the most virtuoso musician that Puerto Rico has to offer salsa. And it is not for less since few are able to play timbale, dance, direct, sing and "sonear" at the same time ... To a great extent that is the musical proposal of Manolito who already has his first solo album on which he called "The Beginning", “El Comienzo”.

Original from Caguas, Puerto Rico, and raised around the music this young percussionist already has a track record of in dream in salsa. His kettledrum has been played in distinguished groups such as Sonora Ponceña, Apollo Sound by Roberto Roena and the orchestra "Del Sur al Norte" by Julito Alvarado, where he premiered as a singer with the remembered "Bacalao".

Topics like "Night with Art", "I Left You As a Crazy", "As You Want" and "For If I Do not See You Again" by Juan Pablo Díaz and in arrangement by José Gazmey, complete this album that you must acquire for your musical delight.

The timbalero and boricua vocalist Manolo Rodríguez (Luis Manuel Rodriguez) debuts with great detail with his title The Beginning.

At just 12 years old, Rodríguez began to demonstrate that he was invited to vocalize with Roberto Roena's Apollo Sound, while at the age of 14 he made his first recording with the flutist Nestor Torres. With 15 I play the timbal on the 45th Anniversary of La Sonora Ponceña. At age 16 he was invited by Luis Perico Ortiz to be part of "Puerto Rican Masters: The History of Salsa", paying tribute to Tito Puente in the popular El Rey Del Timbal. At the age of 17, she is part of La Sonora Ponceña as a timbalero for four consecutive years.

El Comienzo, an album that included the production and musical direction of Jose Gazmey -who is also on the bass-, is composed of 8 original songs, with excpecion by La Sopresa (Juan Formell). No Me Answer is a son montuno cadencioso the old way with a single electrifying Rodriguez himself on the timbale. Promises For Fulfill invites singer India. La Sopresa, the popular theme of Los Van Van, is here revisited with fresh arrangements and a different treatment from the original. The choirs are sticky and will surely enjoy a lot of diffusion.
