-----Spirit Rock/ psych Folk-----
singer-songwriter Remy de Laroque

The singer/songwriter/guitar player reaches for the stars, he sings: "Shoot me Up to the sky...". Remy de Laroque’s third studio album was recorded Live at Sony Music Studio. “Where We’re From” Following the previous CDs: “1000 Lives” and “Carol’s on my Mind”, aims at the soul.

This acoustic spirit-Rock/psych-folk singer songwriter, confirms a raw, melodic, textural sound. Produced with Pablo Arraya, an eclectic collection of memorable acoustic rock songs, with hints of reggae, Afro, jazz, and country.

The Soul “the threads of life all intertwined”, The Love “and you know what we yearn…”, The observer "I like to watch through the windows of others...”, Remy strikes you as having something to say.

Remy was born in Paris, France but he is currently living in New York. Remy de Laroque's music has been critically compared to Beck & Wilco, and the Beatles were his big inspiration growing up. Remy worked as a radio DJ before releasing his first single, “Motel” on the ‘Carrere France’ label. His fascination for American music then led him to New York, where he produced, wrote and performed with artist Rebecca Martin. He also opened a café on Avenue A, while performing and recording with his band in New York.

He is part of a group of emerging musicians sharing the stage, and recording together, such as: Dan Strauss, Bill Konig, Kate McGuire, Julianna Barwick…He also produces an acoustic video segment, writing one new song a week on youtube, in six months he performed over 40 original videos.
