There are Two Artists With The Name Tony Henry.

[1] TONY HENRY is one of Houston’s newest voices to the music industry. Charismatic with his lyrics, the soul in his raspy voice has a magnetic power that grabs the attention of his listening audience. Singing a mixture of cover tunes and original works, Tony implements life’s conditions in his unique song writing that is reminiscent of the 1970’s soul music. Capturing the likes of Sam Cook, Bob Marley and Michael Jackson, Tony has employed his own style to fit his presence and personality. A free-spirit and sensitive to all elements of life, he delivers many ranges of intimate songs, occasionally accompanied by his guitar. Tony has performed at Houston’s top music venues such as the Worthom Center, Miller Outdoor Theater, Red Cat Jazz Café . He sang the National Athem at Booker T’s Pro Wrestling Alliance. His talent and exceptional demeanor has awarded him an appearance on BET’s 106 &Park and the world famous Apollo Theater in New York. From his resounding new single “Stuck in the Ghetto”, to his intuitive praise-filled “Searchin”, both written by the artist himself, his music can be up-lifting, encouraging and soothing to the soul.

[2] Anyone who has sung at Buckingham Palace, The F.A. Cup Final, The Royal Albert Hall, in opera halls and on the West End stage has to be a bit special.

The Mail on Sunday described Tony Henry as “Britain’s answer to Pavarotti.” This not only reflects the power and beauty of his voice, but also the fact that Tony has the presence and showmanship that captivates audiences.

However he is described, Tony Henry is one of the most accomplished performers around. Classically trained, and a graduate of The Academy of Live & Recorded Arts, Tony made his operatic debut in Il Tabarro, directed by Simon Callow. Then followed a succession of leading roles with The European Chamber Opera Company, Opera North and in many Raymond Gubbay’s productions at The Royal Albert Hall.

Tony has also been just as at home on the West End stage as he is in the concert hall. He’s appeared in Starlight Express, Children of Eden, Miss Saigon and Carmen Jones. He made an album for Warner Music in 2003 and also starred in his own Christmas Day ITV Special.

Recently Tony has beenTony performing to nearly ¾ of a million people starring in the “Night Of The Proms” tour across Europe and to millions more on TV. Tony is being backed by an 80 piece orchestra and 60 piece choir.

To coincide with this, Tony will be launching a ground breaking new album, “MODERN CLASSICS,” in 2007. It features stunning versions of classic songs and famous arias – all with a contemporary production sound that takes these famous pieces into the 21st century.

As Andrea Bocelli recently noted, this classical repertoire “has made entire generations dream all over the world. It is better to present this music once again with a different spirit, one in tune with the way we live and listen to music today.”

There’s nobody better to do this than the unique Tony Henry – as millions will be witnessing over the coming months.
