Zendaya Maree Coleman (born 1 September, 1996) is an American singer and actress from Oakland, California, USA. Zendaya is best known as Raquel " Rocky " Blue on Disney Channels original show and plays along side with Bella Thorne.

Zendaya was born to Kazembe Ajamu Coleman and Claire Stoermer. Zendaya got into the nearby California Shakespeare Theater in Orinda where her mother works as the house manager (in addition to training at the theater's student conservatory program). Zendaya appeared as a back-up dancer in a Sears commercial featuring Selena Gomez. Zendaya now resides in Los Angeles, California with her family and dog, a Giant Schnauzer named Midnight.
