Blaine Kingcott aka Metafloor, is an active member of the Calgary bass music community. Co-hosting a monthly night called Soundscapes, a proprietary of Sub Chakra - he has been pursuing his goals of pushing deeper underground bass music since 2010. The man has a surefire determination to infiltrate the pre-existing formulaic structure of Calgary's community, taking part in pushing a new movement of young motivated producers, DJs and promoters. Alongside his peers, he continually sets out to open more people to the endless abyss of cutting edge electronic music, unearthing the gems that lay beneath the commercial veil. Metafloor has already displayed a concise determination to broaden his musical horizons and progress onward with his musical journey, advocating his original music and his diverse taste in what the global music community has to offer.

The last year (2013) saw Metafloor focusing on his individual production sound. Having just released some original music as apart of a compilation release on the label Groundmass, Metafloor is fortifying his own flavor of juke infused bass sounds as apart of the mosaic of Calgary music producers. He currently runs a 2 hour radio slot on the US based online radio station RWD.FM. Partnered with his co-host DJ 808 they broadcast the Sub Chakra Radio show every Thursday from 2pm-4pm (MST). Metafloor has participated in mixing his blend of sounds at many Calgary bass music shows over the last few years including playing alongside internationally recognized names such as: Om unit, Salva, Shackleton, Bogl, Truth, Kastle, J:Kenzo, Youngsta, Kryptic Minds & Icicle. Metafloor's select taste for juke, dubstep & garage influenced music stems from his passion for deep bass driven music with a dance floor edge.
