Frank Allison and the Odd Sox were a indie rock band based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, fronted by singer/songwriter Frank Allison. Their first album "Monkey Business" was released in 1988, followed by "Hokie Smoke" in 1991, the live LP "Pig Out" in 1992, and "Workman's Meal" in 1993". Their music is typically mid-tempo folk rock with some country influences. Allison's lyrics can be characterized by their whimsical storytelling and word play. During the late 1990s Allison lost his singing voice due a vocal condition and subsequently retired from music. Allison re-emerged in 2008 with a new solo recording "Log Rhythms of Love".
