The Hanging Stars is a British cosmic country-folk band based in London. Blending folk pastoralism with swampy 60s Americana, the band comprises singer, songwriter and guitarist Richard Olson (The See See, The Eighteenth Day of May), Sam Ferman on bass, Paulie Cobra on drums, Patrick Ralla on guitars, keys and vocals, and pedal steel player Joe Harvey-Whyte.

The band released their debut album "Over the Silvery Lake" in 2016. The follow up "Songs For Somewhere Else’" came out in 2017. Their third studio album, "A New Kind Of Sky", was released in 2020.
