The Disciples of Discipline are crystalmetaphor, jawnzap7 and DJ Statik. They are musicians, producers, mc's.



Before he did any of these, crystalmetaphor danced. You can hear it in is beats. You can feel it in his flow. jawnzap 7's flow is like running naked in a thunderstorm -- electrifying, exhilarating and head spinning. DJ Statik - a long-time member of Philly's Ill Vibe Collective - layers scratch over sample over breakbeat with full impact. Together their energy hits parts of you you didn't even know you had.



"This is a real life description of who we are and how we live," says crystalmetaphor.



The Disciple's self-titled debut release was produced and recorded in less than two months at Turtle Studios in Olde City Philadelphia. A full-length CD with a 7" 45 record supporting it have been in local stores while the Disciples' were promoting the product in eight European countries. With constant touring planned for the months ahead, the group is excited about the music -- "Non-corporate, non-conformist, music that exemplifies our spiritual beliefs" by jawnzap7's description.
