There are at least two groups called The Analogues:

1. The Analogues is a Beatles 'tribute band extraordinaire' from The Netherlands. They perform the music the 'Fab Four' never played live themselves, using the exact same instruments and equipments. No costumes, no look-a-like attempts. The Analogues are 'sound-a-likes'. Their 'Magical Mystery Tour Live' got rave reviews in The Netherlands. The band even performed in the Barbican in London, in Summer 2016.

2. The Analogues are a duo from New York, NY, United States, that combines folk, pop, jazz & blues sounds. They've been active in NYC since the Fall of 2003 , creating songs with strong melodies and architecture, and inventive lyrics beyond the autobiographical. The Analogus are: Lydia Doran and Jim Saxa.

When Lydia Doran was very young and her last name was Ooghe, she played on Broadway as Young Cosette in Les Miserables and Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden. Her career as a child actress died quietly in its sleep. During college, Lydia was in a band called Buzby. Her career as a backup vocalist/tambourinist died violently in a drunken bar fight. Lydia lives in Brooklyn where she writes songs and sings them in front of people with the fabulous Jim.

A native of Ohio, Jim Saxa didn’t begin serious musical study until age 23, due to an ill-conceived affair with high school athletics. Short, slow, and severely myopic, he quickly became a crowd favorite. After his spot on the end of the bench was retired, he bid farewell to the fans, embarking on his career as a jazz guitarist. After years of studying with several fine teachers and leading a number of bands in Ohio and San Francisco, he at last moved to Brooklyn and found Lydia, and an apartment on craigslist.com.
