1) MIJ ("Jim" spelled backwards) was the recording name of the only album recorded by American singer and songwriter Jim Holmberg (born James Gary Holmberg) in 1969. In the late 60s, Holberg performed in a mystical folk style as MIJ, eventually coming to the attention of ESP records. With Onno Scholtze's help in the studio, Holberg explored the sound of multiple reverb to provide a series of echoes for his yodeling. Legend has it that Holberg was under the influence of LSD during the three hour recording session. The resulting album Yodeling Astrologer has continued to reverberate down the decades and is reverberating still.
