Muscle Hawk is the gritty, funky, electro-thrash project of Salt Lake producer/musicians Greg Bower and Josh Holyoak. Reminiscent of Daft Punk and '80s funk with the distortion cranked to 11, they've crafted an ultra high-energy live show with their thrashy disco-electro dance floor fillers. Muscle Hawk adapt their live set depending on the venue and event, creating a non-stop party by blending songs together through their two-piece dynamic or bringing along a drummer to add to their live performance. The group has gained recognition by performing in some of Salt Lake's hottest dance spots, sharing the stage with acts such as Yelle, Mustard Pimp, Hot Chip, LA Riots, Kill the Noise and Ladytron. Performing on the 2010 Campus Rail Jam Tour, at the 2010 and 2011 Utah Arts Festival and the 2009 X96 Maverick Big Ass Show has put this duo in the spotlight, garnering local media coverage, plays on KCRW, Pandora, FUEL TV and named The Boston Phoenix 2009 50/50 best new artist in Utah.
