Alan Munro strongly influenced by The Beatles, Caifanes, and Heroes del Silencio, began his career as a composer in 1998, that same year he emerged with a single that established him as the most successful local artist: “Malagradecida”, an instant hit has never stopped playing on radio stations in the states of Sonora and Baja California, Mexico.

By 2005, “Malagradecida”, was on top of the charts for months on radio stations such as Exa and Máxima in different cities in the states of Sonora and Baja California. In 2007, with a reinvention of his music, he recorded and released two new singles, “Steamy Cigar” and “You are my girl”, both received heavy radio play in Mexicali, Baja California. “Steamy Cigar” reached first place on the charts the first week of September in Cachanilla as well as in New York, New York, USA and he did it again with the second single "You are my girl".

Throughout his career, Alan Munro has been recognized for his compositions, performances, and recordings. His songs have appeared on several soap operas and reality shows on Televisa produced by Pedro Damián, Rubén Galindo, and Lucero Suárez, such as "Verano de Amor (2009)”, main theme song for the reality TV show “Me quiero enamorar (2009)”; “Amorcito Corazón, (2011)”; among others.

Alan Munro has participated in the Festival Cultural Fiestas del Pitic as the opening act for Erick Rubin and has opened for Jaguares in Hermosillo, Sonora. He has also been the opening act for the legendary band Caifanes and for Calle 13 performing in front of 20,000 people. These performances launched his first headlining tour throughout Mexico and the United States in 2011.

Currently Alan Munro is in the studio recording two tracks with renowned producer Thom Russo (Maná, Jay-Z, Juanes, etc.) to be released on his upcoming album in early 2014.
