There are several artists named Weirdo.
1) Dom Harding, Hard Trance, Hard House & Nu-NRG producer from the UK who released two albums - 2000's Imintouchwithyourworld and 2002's Normalisation - and fourteen singles under the name Weirdo on the label Tinrib Recordings between 1998 and 2002. He continued to release on Recover and Vicious Circle Recordings. His last release was in 2007, although several remixes of his tracks have been released on Tinrib Digital since.
2) Drum n bass producer Andrei Adrian
He’s been started flirting with electronic music since he was 3 years old, when his father “taught” him the secrets of the electronic sounds and the beginning of this genre. He started with Jean Michel Jarre… after a few years the quality of electronic sounds evolved and the interest became bigger and bigger.
His first favourite band was The Prodigy. He started producing music in 1996, because he wanted to make what Prodigy were doing that time … but he thought better and he didn’t like the idea very much and started to make triphop, hip hop, dubstep, breaks and after a while in the year 1998 he started producing drum and bass and breakcore. His first digital free release was in 2005 at Sociopath Recordings with an EP named “MaDnBrain”.
He was accepted in Darke*st Crew in 2006. A new life was brought to him through this crew and he started playing at the “Darke*st presents”parties. He played with famous names of the drum and bass scene like: Current Value, Noisia, Black sun empire, to name just a few.… At the moment he is developing a project with his soul brotha C9H13NO3 whom he’s been playing along with since 2007. I can’t tell you more about this, you’ll hear about it in the nearest future
3) Indie / Pop musician in the UK:
When he first emerged from the studio, he started out by releasing a demo called ‘Disco’ on Majestic Casual which quickly spun up a fuss and amassed more than 1 million plays... he then disappeared.
After a short space of studio time and re-emerging from the silence, he released ‘Butter’ and ‘Armanio’ which both received #1’s on Hype Machine and Human Human, entering various Spotify and Apple Music playlists, as well as being featured on some of the blogosphere’s most respected outlets such as Pigeons and Planes, DIY, Clash and Line of Best Fit.
Annie Mac, also announced WEIRDO in her New Names playlist, on her BBC Radio 1 show whilst another of his tracks playlisted high on New Music Friday (Spotify) and was then included in the BBC Introducing Best Of playlist, by their newest fan Huw Stephens.
He also worked with his friends on track SAPPHIRE (drums played by Debbie Knox-Hewson; Charli XCX, Honeyblood, Nasty Cherry). The track premiered with some Perolls styled press shots on W Magazine, a Condé Nast publication in the US. Read more on Last.fm.
