Made up of metal heads, piss heads, comic geeks and political freaks Drive like Casey first smacked onto the scene as "Leon" in 2001. Dave Iles, Spike, Dan Jack and Nick Saunders rocked and rolled as a raw four piece indie-rock outfit.

After a year or so of gigging it became apparent that "more guitar!" was wanted and so Boulder was drafted in to take his rightful place at their sides. The philosophy was that since Boulder had joined, they were no longer Leon anymore (coupled with the fact that the name was pretty popular with other bands too...) they decided on a change... Drive like Casey.

The band have written and performed original material from the start, moving from soft harmonised low key songs to edgier, harder tunes or "music to fight to!". "There is no one sound for this band". From the quiet mournful sentimentalities of Hollow to the hard, angry, psychological misgivings of Losing Our Mind, to the political and social statements of How To Survive In A Modern State. Drive like Casey will kick you in the teeth and give you a shoulder to cry on afterwards.

DLC’s brand of “Electric punk rock” (NME) has earned them supports slots with some of the nations best up and coming bands including: Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Longview, Jetplane Landing, The Ordinary Boys and Towers Of London.

2009 sadly saw the departure of Dan and Nick, replaced by Paul Bearman on drums (Penny Racers Last Journey) and Natalie on bass. (Boulder left in 2007)
